The Alice Springs Clay Target Club is situated off the Ross River Highway, less than 10km from the heart of Alice Springs (see map below).
To get to the club, head south out of Alice Springs down the Stuart Highway past Tom Brown Roundabout, through The Gap and take the first turn left over the river into Palm Circuit Road. Travel 1 km, traverse the roundabout and continue on Ross River Road for approximately 3.5km till you pass the turnoff to Heenan Road – the turn off to the club is approximately half a kilometre past this turnoff on the right, clearly marked with the club logo. This is a dirt road and leads directly to the club grounds.
The grounds sit on a rise overlooking the Eastern MacDonnell Ranges with a southerly aspect to avoid looking into the sun. The club has three DTL layouts (incorporating a ball trap setup) three American Skeet layouts and one Sporting Clay facility. The clubhouse has a fully licensed bar.
For club shoots please arrive by 9:30am. Shooting commences at 10:00am and events are generally hosted on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
Visitors wishing to have a shot at the club while visiting Alice Springs are encouraged to contact any committee member who will endeavour to accommodate them.
The club has grounds for caravans or camping with power and water on site and accessible toilet/shower facilities. (There is a small cost associated with this) ACTA members will need to phone a club committee member to confirm any camping.
